Valerie serves as a senior acquisitions editor at Broadleaf Books, where she works with a host of authors including Dr. Yolanda Pierce, Karen Walrond, Dr. Matthew D. Taylor, Ethan Tapper, Victoria Loorz, Steven Charleston, and Patty Krawec. Prior to working at Broadleaf Books, Valerie worked as acquisitions editor for Herald Press with writers including Donald B. Kraybill, Drew G. I. Hart, Katherine Willis Pershey, and Osheta Moore. Books that she has edited are frequently reviewed in Publishers Weekly, including several that have received starred reviews. Before her time at Herald Press, Valerie did freelance editing and consulting for publishers including Brazos Press, InterVarsity Press, Johns Hopkins University Press, and authors whose books went on to be published by Oxford University Press and Jossey-Bass.
